Medius does not publish a price. Its pricing page lists two packages, AP Essentials and AP 360, each with unlimited users, and every button leads to a sales call or a quote form. Capterra lists no free trial. The quote is built on package, entity count (one entity in Essentials, three in AP 360) and the applications you add, so a multi-entity group with fraud and supplier portal needs lands on AP 360 and above. AutoPayables, by contrast, prints its price: $49 a month for 200 invoices or $149 for unlimited.

What moves a Medius quote

Four variables decide the number a Medius rep brings back.

Entity count

AP Essentials includes one entity and AP 360 includes three. Every entity above that is priced into your quote, so groups with several legal entities start above the packaged tier.

Package and applications

Fraud and Risk Detection, Supplier Portal, Copilot and Supplier Conversations sit in AP 360 only. Needing any one of them moves you to the larger package.

ERP estate

Medius connects to more than 100 enterprise ERPs including SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, NetSuite and Infor. More systems and custom mapping means more implementation work in the price.

Not user seats

Both packages list unlimited users. Unlike per-seat tools, adding approvers or AP clerks does not raise a Medius quote.

How to get a real Medius number

The quote process is predictable once you know what they will ask.

1

Book the sales call

There is no self-serve path. Every button on the Medius pricing page leads to sales, a quote form or a consult.

2

Bring entity and ERP counts

Have your legal entities, ERPs and monthly invoice volume ready. Package and entity count are how the quote is built.

3

Separate subscription from payments

Ask for the platform price on its own before any payments or card economics are folded in, so you can compare like for like.

4

Benchmark against a published price

Put the quote next to vendors that print their rates, so you know whether you are paying for capability you need or for a suite you will not use.

The trade you make on cost transparency and time to value alone.

Quote-only suites like Medius

  • No price published, budgeting starts with a sales call
  • No free trial or free version listed on Capterra
  • Go-live cited at 8 to 12 weeks
  • Quote varies by entities and applications chosen
  • Capture accuracy judged in a guided demo

AutoPayables

  • $49 Growth and $149 Scale printed on the pricing page
  • Run your first 20 invoices before you pick a plan
  • Upload invoices and see coded line items the same day
  • Same published rate for every buyer
  • Read the extracted vendor, totals, lines and GL codes yourself

Who should get the Medius quote, and who should not

Budget follows fit. Be honest about which group you are in.

Multi-entity enterprises on SAP or Oracle

Several legal entities, a complex ERP estate and a need for fraud scoring and supplier self-service. Medius is built for this and the quote is worth getting.

Shared services teams chasing touchless rates

High invoice volume where every point of touchless processing saves headcount. The AP 360 package and its matching claims are aimed squarely at you.

Mid-market controllers with one entity

If you run one entity on QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite or Sage and need capture, coding, matching and approvals, a published-price tool gets you there without a 12-week project.

Teams that need a number this quarter

If budget is approved now and you cannot wait on discovery calls, start with a vendor whose price is printed and whose trial runs the same afternoon.

How much does Medius cost?

Medius does not publish a price. Its own pricing page lists two packages, Medius AP Essentials and Medius AP 360, and neither carries a dollar figure. The buttons read "Talk to sales", "Get a quote", "Schedule a consult" and "Request Quote". Capterra records both packages as "Custom Quote" and marks free trial and free version as "Not available". PricingSaaS, which has tracked the page since January 2026, shows "Pricing not disclosed" for both.

So the honest answer to "how much is Medius" is that nobody outside a Medius sales cycle can give you a verified number. What you can know before the first call is the structure of the quote: which package you land in, how many entities you run, and which add-on applications you switch on. That is enough to predict whether you are shopping in the same budget band as Medius or a very different one.

Medius AP Essentials vs AP 360: what each package includes

This is taken directly from Medius's own pricing page. The two packages share the core AP engine and differ mainly on AI assistance, supplier tooling, fraud controls and entity count.

Two things in that table matter more than the rest for budgeting. First, users are unlimited on both packages, so Medius is not metered per seat the way BILL is. Adding approvers does not move the quote. Second, entities are capped: one on Essentials, three on AP 360. If you run five legal entities, you are negotiating above the packaged tier before the conversation starts.

What drives a Medius quote

Software Finder describes Medius pricing as "customized by entity count and selected applications", which lines up with the package limits above. In practice four variables move the number:

  • Entity count. The clearest lever, since the packages themselves are defined partly by it. Multi-entity groups should expect the entity line to be the first thing a rep asks about.
  • Package and add-on applications. Fraud and Risk Detection, Supplier Portal and Copilot sit in AP 360 only. If you need one of them, you are buying the larger package.
  • Invoice volume and ERP scope. Medius connects to more than 100 enterprise ERPs including SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, NetSuite and Infor. The more complex the ERP estate, the more implementation work gets priced in.
  • Payments. Medius sells built-in payments. How much of your spend you route through it can change the commercial shape of the deal.

Is there a Medius price of $2,499 per month?

Not one you should rely on. A directory site, alternatives.co, lists Medius at "Starting USD 2499 /mo" for a Professional plan and $3,499 per month for an Enterprise plan. Those figures are hard to square with Medius's own page. The directory's plans are named Professional, Enterprise and Premium, while Medius sells AP Essentials and AP 360. The directory lists "1 Standard User" on the $2,499 plan, while Medius states "Unlimited Users" on both packages. And it says "Free trial available", while Capterra records no free trial. Treat the $2,499 figure as a stale third-party estimate, not a Medius price.

Medius pricing compared with vendors that publish a number

If your real question is "what should AP automation cost us", the useful comparison is across the vendors you are likely to shortlist. We keep a wider breakdown on our AP automation pricing comparison; the short version is below, taken from each vendor's own pricing page.

What you get for the Medius premium

A quote-only price is not a reason on its own to rule Medius out. It is an enterprise-grade AP platform, and it earns its place on large shortlists. Medius was named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Accounts Payable Applications. On its own comparison page it claims 96 percent plus touchless processing, a 92 percent touchless rate on PO invoices, and 99.6 percent automatic approval routing on non-PO invoices. Elsewhere it cites 97 percent auto-match, four times faster approvals and a go-live of 8 to 12 weeks. Those are vendor figures, but they describe a real class of capability: fraud and risk detection, a supplier portal, built-in payments and multi-entity control.

If you run several entities, need fraud scoring on every invoice and want payments inside the same platform, Medius and its direct peers are the right category. Our Medius vs Coupa comparison and Stampli vs Medius breakdown cover how it stacks up against the other enterprise options.

Where a published-price tool is the better buy

Many mid-market teams evaluating Medius do not need an enterprise suite. They need invoices captured, coded, matched to purchase orders, approved and exported to the ledger, without a 12-week project. That is what AutoPayables does, at a price printed on the page.

AutoPayables reads each invoice with AI, codes every line to your GL accounts, checks it against the purchase order with two-way and three-way matching, flags duplicate invoices before they get paid, routes it for approval above your dollar threshold, and exports approved bills in the import layout for QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite or Sage. Growth is $49 a month for 200 invoices; Scale is $149 a month with unlimited invoices and API access. You can run your first 20 invoices through it before you choose a plan.

Where Medius wins, plainly: AutoPayables uses one approval threshold rather than multi-level routing, has no fraud scoring, no entity dimension and no payment rail (payments are recorded, not sent). If those are requirements, get the Medius quote. If they are not, you can have a working AP workflow this week. Buyers who want to avoid the contract as well as the sales call should read our page on AP automation with no long-term contract, and the full list of vendors that let you buy without a demo is on self-serve AP automation. Questions to ask before you sign a Medius quote

  1. Which package is the quote built on, and which AP 360 applications are included or priced separately?
  2. How many entities are included, and what does each additional entity cost?
  3. Is implementation a separate fee, and what is the committed go-live date?
  4. What is the contract term, and what is the renewal uplift cap?
  5. Is payments revenue (card or cross-border) part of how the subscription was priced?
  6. Which of your ERPs is supported by a standard connector versus custom work?

Frequently asked questions

Medius does not publish a price. Its pricing page lists two packages, AP Essentials and AP 360, with no dollar figures and buttons for a sales call or quote. Pricing is customized by package, entity count and selected applications, so the only verified number is the one in your own Medius quote.

AP Essentials covers AP Automation, Capture, Analytics, standard support, unlimited users and one entity. AP 360 adds Copilot, Supplier Conversations, Fraud and Risk Detection and the Supplier Portal, and includes three entities instead of one. Both include one sandbox environment.

No. Medius lists unlimited users on both AP Essentials and AP 360. The quote is shaped by entities and applications instead, so adding approvers does not raise the price the way it does with per-user tools like BILL, which charges $49 to $89 per user per month.

Capterra records Medius as having no free trial and no free version, and the Medius pricing page routes every visitor to sales. You evaluate it through a guided demo. If you want to test extraction on your own invoices first, AutoPayables lets you run your first 20 invoices before choosing a plan.

That figure comes from a directory site, not Medius. The same listing uses plan names Medius no longer sells and claims one user and a free trial, which contradicts Medius's own page. Treat it as a stale estimate and ask for an entity-based quote.

Medius cites a go-live of 8 to 12 weeks. Complex multi-entity or multi-ERP rollouts can take longer. A self-serve tool with a published price can be running the same week, which matters if your pain is invoice volume this quarter.

If you do not need fraud scoring, a supplier portal, multi-entity control or built-in payments, AutoPayables covers capture, line-level GL coding, PO matching, duplicate checks, approvals and ledger export for $49 or $149 a month, with no sales call required.
